Jie Shao

Jie has 17 years of public accounting experience in U.S. corporate income tax accounting, compliance, and consulting services, with a focus in international taxation. Her experience includes significant work in U.S. international tax reporting, strategic planning to lower the global effective tax rate, design and implementation of global tax efficient structures, advising cross-border M&A transactions and integrations, cash repatriation and redeployment strategies, U.S. tax attributes planning and foreign tax credit optimization, U.S. tax reform planning and modeling surrounding GILTI, subpart F, FTC, FDII, and BEAT, and assessment of relevant income tax accounting implications, etc.

Prior to joining KBF in August 2020, Jie practiced international tax services with Deloitte U.S. and China as well as PricewaterhouseCoopers in U.S. Jie has broad experience in advising both publicly and privately held multinational companies in a variety of industries including manufacturing, consumer-products, pharmaceutical research, information technology, chemical, construction, investment banking, etc.

Jie holds a Master of Accountancy from Wake Forest University. Jie is a CPA and a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
