Julie Laake

Julie has over two decades of experience in public accounting, with an extensive background in ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes. Julie provides outsourced tax services to clients ranging from multi-national publicly traded companies to private start-ups with no internal tax department. Although Julie services clients in a wide range of industries, she has a particular focus on the life science space. Julie’s tax accounting skills are complemented by significant experience with federal and state tax compliance and consulting, including consolidated returns, mergers and acquisitions, IPO readiness, and stock-based compensation analysis. Despite the complexities of the tax provision process, Julie is dedicated to making it as seamless as possible for her clients.

Prior to joining KBF in 2014, Julie was a manager with PwC’s San Diego tax practice.

Julie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Professional Accounting from the University of Washington. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of California.
