John Baglien – Audit Manager

John joins KBF as a Manager in the Audit practice. John has a background in both public accounting and industry. He started his career at KPMG in Portland, where he served publicly traded technology and manufacturing companies for six years, as well as non-public companies primarily in the healthcare space. In industry, his assistant controller and controller responsibilities included leading his teams in the recording and reporting of financial results as well as coordinating the external financial statement audits.  In these roles, John completed the implementations of ASC 606 and 842 among other technical accounting projects. He has extensive experience in SOX compliance and technical areas including accounting for income taxes, information technology, share-based payments, and revenue

John will focus on assisting and advising clients through complex accounting transactions and providing support for acquisitions, audits, financing transactions, and operational needs. He will be based in Portland, Oregon.

 

 

Karishma Rahman – Tax Manager

Karishma joins KBF as a Manager in the Middle Market practice. Karishma started her career in tax at a regional firm in Atlanta in 2014. She has 7 years of experience serving privately held companies with a focus in construction, retail as well as commercial and residential real estate. Most recently she worked at Grant Thornton Atlanta where she was with the partnership tax team. Karishma holds both her BBA in Accounting and Masters in Taxation from Georgia State University. She will be based in Atlanta, Georgia and will serve all markets.

 

 

Lisa Robichaud – Senior Tax Manager

Lisa joins KBF as a Senior Manager in the Corporate Tax Services practice. Lisa started her career with Deloitte in Boston in 2010 in the Corporate Tax practice and has a total of 10 years of experience. She most recently spent over a year with Deloitte in San Francisco in the Corporate Tax practice. During her time at Deloitte she served clients in a range of industries from start-ups to large multinational companies both public and non-public. She was primarily focused on corporate tax provisions and compliance during this time for both audit and non-audit clients.

Lisa also spent two years with Ortho Clinical Diagnostics, a non-public medical device company, in the tax department where she managed the global tax provision, reporting, and implementation of OneSource tax provision software. She will be based in Salem, Massachusetts and will serve all markets.

 

Suzette Thompson – Tax Manager

Suzette joins KBF as a Manager in the Corporate Tax Services practice. Suzette started her career in tax at Cherry Bekaert, LLP Atlanta, an East Coast regional firm in 2014.  She has 7 years of public and industry accounting experience and has served clients in a range of industries from start-ups to large multinational companies both public and non-public. She most recently worked at Crowe, LLP in Atlanta as a manager with the Corporate Tax team where she was primarily focused on corporate tax provisions and compliance for both audit and non-audit clients. She will be based in Atlanta, Georgia and will serve all markets.

 

 

Ryan Wang – Senior Manager

Ryan joins KBF as a Senior Manager in the Corporate Tax Services practice. Ryan has extensive experience providing tax-related services to both publicly-traded and privately-held companies across a variety of industries including gaming, hospitality, aerospace & defense, technology, financial services, insurance brokerage, and manufacturing.

Ryan comes to us from EY, where he spent nearly three years servicing public and private clients from gaming and hospitality industry. Prior to EY, Ryan was with Grant Thornton and began his public accounting career as both an auditor and tax professional with one of the major Asian American accounting firm in Los Angeles. He has experience providing a wide spectrum of tax services including tax accounting, tax compliance, and planning.

Ryan will focus on assisting and advising clients through complex tax accounting matters and providing support for tax planning, consulting, and compliance needs. He will be based in Las Vegas, Nevada and will serve all markets.
